1993年由欧氏兄弟创办了阳朔首家私立外语学校，1994年欧晋校长再次创办了阳朔第一家电脑学校、1996年开办了阳朔第一家网吧、1998年增开了阳朔第二家外语学校、从此兄弟俩各自拥有一所学校、2002年欧晋校长建立了自已的校园，并把学校改名为西街外国语学校，2004年又成功的引进了外资，成为阳朔首家中美合资学校，同年又把学校扩大到西街。目前西街外国语学校在阳朔已经拥有两个校区，中专部提供三年集中性的强化锻炼，主要开设有商务英语，英语口语交流，电脑应用和日语等课程．大专部创办于２００５年，为不同年龄和阶段的学员提供两年或一至六个月不等的商务英语和英语口语培训课程，除了以上的特色英语培训外，我们还提供国语，粤语，日语和法语语种培训，同时还开设中国菜，书法和书法艺术，功夫　太极等特色课程．

Founded in 1993, Xijie Foreign Language School now operates 2 campuses in Yangshuo - our Vocational Training School - offering a 3 year intensive program focusing on Business English, Oral English Communication, Computer Applications and Japanese Language. Our West Street College campus opened in 2005 and offers a 2 year program with the same emphasis as well as courses in Business English and Oral English Communication for students of all ages and abilities ranging from one to six month terms or more.  Apart from our extensive English programs, we also offer courses in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and French languages as well as courses in Chinese cooking, Calligraphy and Martial Arts including Kung Fu and Tai Chi.

下午好，很高兴见到各位，我以我本人的名义代表我们西街外国语学校的校长，员工还有同学们欢迎您今天晚上的到来．

首先，我向各位介绍一下本人，我来自美国加尼福尼亚的旧金山，但我大部分时间都没有在美国生活，而是把我的时间花在周游世界上了，我在欧洲呆了８年，接着６年在新西兰．然后在日本的富士岛呆了差不多２０年，在日本，我成功的建立和管理了两所语言学校，这使我个人在教学，培训，课程设置和市场宣传等总体规划中得到了提升．现在中国已经成为我的家，在这里我希望通过我的教育背景，专长及我个人丰富的经验，我会努力地成为全中国语言培训学校的楷模．

为了今天这个重要的日子，我们已经筹备了３－4个月，我深信通过我们的共同努力，以我们以往的经验，我们对学生的奉献，我们对教育的奉献，我们对继续教育的资源设备改进，还有我们的老师和员工工作的激情，我们会把西街外国语学校建成阳朔最大最好的学校，这也是我创办这个学校的初衷，我不仅要把这个学校变成阳朔或者是广西最好的学校，而是更要把它变成全中国最好的外语培训学校，而要把西街外国语学校变成为其他学校学习借鉴的楷模，我需要在座每一位嘉宾的支持和鼓励，我想这也是事实上所要求的．

President's West Street College Campus Opening Speech

       Good afternoon, Good to see all of you here today. On behalf of myself, Billy, our teachers, staff and all of our students here at Xijie Foreign Language School, I’d like to welcome you and hope you all have a most enjoyable time here this evening.

       I would like, first of all, to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. I’m American from San Francisco, California, but have lived most of my life outside of the United States. I’ve traveled over most of the world – I spent 8 years in Europe, another 6 years in New Zealand and the Fiji Islands and over 20 years in Japan. In Japan I established, managed and operated two very busy and successful language schools. I have been involved with every aspect of running a language school from teaching, training and curriculum development, to promotion, marketing and general management. I have now made China my home and intend to utilize my background, my expertise and experience to develop what I endeavor to become a model for language schools throughout China.

        We’ve been working very hard here the past 3 or 4 months getting ready for this occasion today and I believe we have established the biggest and best learning facility in Yangshuo – and through all of our combined efforts – our past experience, our attention and devotion to our students, our dedication to education, our further development of our facilities and through the enthusiasm of our teachers and staff- it is my intention to establish, not only the best foreign language school in Yangshuo, not only the best foreign language school in Guangxi, but the best foreign language school in all of China – and, again, to make Xijie Foreign Language School a model for all other language schools in China. And with your support and backing, I believe this will be a reality.
